Enjoy a Serene Holiday amidst Nature at Araku Valley
Araku valley is one of the scenic hill stations in Andhra Pradesh. Located about 112 kms from Vishakhapatnam, it is a perfect getaway to relax in the midst of nature as you watch the refreshing waterfalls and streams gurgling over boulders and mountain slopes and drink in the soothing greenery around.
Mode of transport
It is best to go by train from Vizag to this beautiful spot and return by road. The train journey is enchanting as you go through tunnels, pass the carpeted greens of the hill sides and clear crystal streams. Rail with road journey packages which include one night stay or a single day tour is provided by AP tourism.
Best times to visit
Though Araku valley is a hill station, it is by no means cool and pleasant the whole year round. The best times to visit this place are the periods from September to February. The summer temperature can soar high, rising up to 42 degree in the month of May and dropping up to 14 – 15 degree in winter. Possibilities of cyclonic storms originating from Bay of Bengal and hitting this area cannot be ruled out.
